Dr. Shahrzad Saba, D.C.

Dr. Shar Saba grew up in Iran and immigrated to the United States with her family in 2005 in search of a better life and higher education. She spent the first years in Sacramento California learning English and adapting to the culture. She was able to get admitted into University of California Davis and majored in Molecular/Cell biology. She had a passion for health care and volunteered in many different fields related to health care in hopes of finding a perfect fit for her personality. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she was still unsure as to what specialty she would pursue.

Dr. Shar’s journey into Chiropractic began in 2014. At the age of 23, she suffered extensive damage to the disc in her low back due to an injury while weightlifting. She was forced to be on bed rest for an entire month and consumed strong pain medications. She was told by her medical doctor to eliminate all physical activities and that her only options to improve her pain were pills, needle injections, and surgery. She did not know anything about chiropractic at the time. For the next few years, she suffered from constant low back pain. About every couple of months, periodic flare ups would force her to bed rest for few days. Her performance in school and sports suffered and she missed very important life events due to inability to move and be present. She also had to alter all her activities to avoid exacerbating her pain. Finally in 2014 while she was experiencing one of those painful episodes, her friend suggested that she give chiropractic a try. Her chiropractor quickly understood the nature of her pain and explained that her old injury is stressing her low back joints, altering her gait and resulting in immobility and inflammation in the area. After just few weeks of consistent treatment Dr. Shar found total relief. She was able to return to the activities she had eliminated/modified, and she started to enjoy life again. More importantly she found a field that now she had extreme passion for, and she decided at that time that she wanted to help her community and the world the same way her Chiropractor helped her.

Dr. Shar graduated as Cum Laude in 2018 from Life Chiropractic College West. Upon graduation, she moved to Vancouver Washington to learn from her mentor and sharpen her skills. Her love for kids and passion for prenatal care led her to seek special qualifications such as a certification in the Webster Technique. In November of 2022, Dr Shar decided to take everything she has learned and bring it to the Austin community where she feels she can make the biggest impact.
